March 14, 2018 – Current Island

We’re now anchored on the south side of Current Island, staging ourselves to go through Current Cut tomorrow morning. It’s recommended one should transit it at slack tide which should be around 9/9:15 am. It was a long motor sail day which included going through the edge of a coral field for 7 nm and a 2 nm area a shallow water. The water was 7feet deep where the picture was taken. The total distance today was 43 nm. The winds from the north are supposed to pick up tonight but nothing drastic.
